In the heartland of Occitania, Ormarine Cellar was born from the merging of 6 fine cooperative cellars in the South of France, Pinet, Villeveyrac, Cournonterral, Saint Hippolyte du Fort , Vias and Olonzac. It gathers women and men who, united around the same values, are proud of sharing their know-how.
Their appellation wines are served on the best tables, from aperitif to dessert, with among them their world famous flagship product AOC Picpoul de Pinet. Today, the experienced winegrowers of Ormarine Cellar carry on skillfully a legendary tradition transmitted over the centuries of viticultural history.
Further to different merging, Cave Ormarine benefits from an extended from Cevennes to Méditerranée, varied and highly qualitative supply area: AOP Coteaux du Languedoc, AOP Minervois, AOP Muscat de Mireval, IGP Côtes de Thau, IGP Pays d'Oc, as well as the famous AOC Picpoul de Pinet a must with sea food.
Indeed, white varieties benefit from the influence of Etang de Thau and the proximity of the sea both playing a role of thermal regulator. The red and rosés varieties are established on low-yield limestone-clay terroirs from the Jurassic Era and red sandstone.
